Elevate’s Recreational program begins with our engaging mommy and me and carefully designed preschool classes, in addition to our beginner recreational programs and elevated intermediate program. Our offerings include contemporary, pom, musical theater, and our highly popular Acrobatic Arts program which is a combination of gymnastics and dance.
Questions about Elevate!
“WHAT ARE ELEVATED CLASSES?”
Elevated is our intermediate 45-minute class for dancers ready to build stronger technique and movement quality in a faster-paced environment. Recommended for dancers ages 6+ or with previous dance experience.
“DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE LESSONS?”
We do! Send us an email and we can let you know what days we have open for our privates.
“DOES CLASS MEET WEEKLY?”
Yes, classes will meet at the same time each week and will run through mid- June with our Annual Recital to follow.
“WHAT IF I HAVE TO MISS A CLASS?”
If your child is going to be absent, you can call or email the front desk to let us know they won’t be attending this week. We do offer make-up classes by having your dancer attend a dance class on a different day that is similar with ages and style!
“WHAT IF I WANT TO MAKE CHANGES TO MY SCHEDULE?”
If you are wanting to change or add a class, just let the front desk know by emailing the classes you want to modify or change so that we can adjust it properly in our system.
“DO I STAY AND WATCH OR LEAVE WHILE MY CHILD IS IN CLASS?”
It is completely up to your preference! You are welcome to wait in our lobby during class time as we have two big viewing windows. If you prefer you can even leave your child while you run an errand or wait out in your car. They are in good hands while in class.
“DO YOU ALLOW PARENTS IN THE CLASSROOM?”
We typically try to have the students enter the classroom alone, in hopes to get them better acquainted with the classroom, teacher and classmates. Sometimes when parents are in the classroom, children can be more attached and distracted, which can take away from their learning. If necessary, parents are welcome to walk their children into class, especially if they are nervous. The teacher can assist with trying to make your child feel comfortable so that parents can exit the room and view from the window.
“DO WE HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE RECITAL?”
All our classes will learn a dance that will be performed in our Annual Recital in June. If you would just like to attend classes without participating in our Recital, that is fine, you will just need to notify the front desk that you will not be needing a costume for Recital.
Why is Elevate different?
Progress: We give each of our dancers written progress reports which helps parents learn and understand how your dancer has been doing in class, what we recommend for the summer or next fall and what they can work on to achieve optimal and positive results!
Education: We train our dancers weekly to both love dance and learn the proper technique for each class. We also focus on movement quality and individual artistry in all styles!
Community: We create a safe and fun atmosphere for your dancer to learn. We frequently have fun events at the studio or crafts for them to complete before or after class. We strive for our dancers to keep elevating while keeping a positive, encouraging, and honest atmosphere.
